WIPs & FOs: Logan's legwarmers, Campside Shawl and sun hat
Recently, most of my knitting projects are for Logan. I do have one for myself on the needles, Campside Shawl, and I'll share a WIP photo in a bit.
But before that, here is something I finished for Logan last week.
I decided that he needed a sun hat because we apparently now have no winter season in So Cal and it just got hot again. We went to a playdate last week and I was worried about his skin under the sun the whole time because we can't use sunscreen for babies under 6 months.
After I came back from the playdate, I immediately cast on for this Sun Hat from "What to knit when you're expecting" and finished in 2 hours.
Next one is my Campside Shawl. You just cannot take a good WIP photo of shawls! Here are a couple of shots I took for Instagram.
The pattern is a free one from Pom Pom Quarterly and the yarn was special purchase from Korea few years ago. I LOVE how this is turning out! It's simple and easy with just eyelet patterns throughout so it easy enough to do around the baby but interesting enough to keep working on it.
I found a benefit of putting legwarmers on the baby's legs. He goes through so many diaper changes (RIDICULOUSLY MANY) and sometimes pants just get in the way. We sometimes skip the pants and go just onesie but I worry about sun protection and chilly desert nights here.
I cast on 40 sts and am going around and around in my leftover Toil & Trouble sock yarn.
That's it for this week I guess! Can't wait to show some of my sewing and spinning projects again next week!
