I can't believe I forgot to blog about this dress.

This is one of the dresses I made before Logan's arrival early this year. I love buying vintage patterns and bought this Vintage MaCalls pattern from Etsy. Some vintage patterns are daunting, but I saw that this dress only had few pattern pieces and I liked the fact that it had a zipper. I decided to use an invisible zipper instead of a regular zipper as the pattern calls for.

When I finished the dress, I was close to my due date so I couldn't post a picture of me wearing it. Fortunately, I tried it on the day after I gave birth and fit into it, but I was breastfeeding on demand which meant no woven dress :(

So I was glad to have a special occasion to wear it in public! I wore it to our first family holiday photo session! And got even more excited when our friends at Il Mare Photography commented that we look like a family from the 60s. :D

pattern: vintage sewing pattern (1968) McCall's, 9269, View C
fabric: spot on mini dot, 45", 2yds, from Fabric.com
modifications: moved the darts to give more ease, added hook and eye for the neck closure, used Invisible Zipper.
