Oh my goodness! I had the most amazing two days since the First Fall issue of Knitty went live. I've had so much positive feedback and love, and I never knew that my design would get this much attention! After all, the design is for tunic length pullover/vest and we are just in the middle of hot summer days. Thank you so very much!
And I am totally flattered by all the comments I've received through private messages, blog, and Ravelry. One of them especially stood out to me, the one left by CanarySanctuary of Canary Knits because her "Sexy Vesty" was one of my first garment knits I've ever made while I was in law school, and I had the privilege of test knitting for her collection a couple of years ago.
Seriously though, this is all very exciting! I'm seeing some comments about how comfortable the pullover looks. It really is. The sample I made was a bit big on my model who normally wears Small. I usually wear 34-36" and this looks comfortably oversized on me too. The actual bust circumference is 40". So it's really up to you, if you hate oversized look, go down a size; if you prefer slightly loose fit so that you can match it with sexy skinny jeans and boots, give yourself at least 2" positive ease.
I know, it's hard to think about jeans and boots in this weather. Although, it's nice and cool around gloomy 70 degrees here in Irvine, I'm traveling to Korea and Taiwan next week and am NOT looking forward to the heat and humidity. :P
As always, email me if you have any questions or concerns about the pattern at jdknitter (at) gmail (dot) com.
